Named Account Manager, Northern California

The Role

We’re partnering with a Series B cybersecurity company hiring a Named Account Manager to own a strategic enterprise patch across Northern California.

CISOs are being asked what their AI governance strategy is, but most organisations still don’t know what sensitive data they have, where it sits, or who can access it.

This platform uses AI to discover and classify sensitive data with context, then helps security teams put the right governance and remediation in place so the business can move faster with AI without exposing or misusing data.

Budget is moving quickly into this area, and the growth reflects that. In the last two years, the business has grown revenue 20x, increased its customer base 15x, and is now valued at around $1B.

You’d own 40–50 Fortune 50/100 accounts, with some existing traction and partners to leverage. Most larger deals are partner-led and typically land in the $500k–$1M+ range.

Job Summary

1. Own 40–50 strategic Fortune 50/100 accounts across the Northern California region
2. Build relationships with CISOs, security leaders and executive buyers
3. Drive large enterprise sales cycles from first meeting through to close
4. Work closely with channel partners, SEs and internal leadership
5. Build pipeline through your own network, partner relationships and outbound activity
6. Sell into AI governance, data security, DLP and access governance use cases
7. Help customers understand, govern and protect sensitive data

Required Experience

1. 10+ years of cybersecurity sales experience
2. Proven success selling into large enterprise accounts
3. Strong existing relationships with CISOs and security buyers in the region
4. Experience closing $500k–$1M+ enterprise deals
5. Strong channel partner experience
6. Existing partner network across the region
7. Experience selling DLP, DSPM, data security, cloud security, identity, SIEM, EDR or adjacent cybersecurity technologies preferred
8. Strong executive communication and multi-threading ability
